PROGRESSIVE   NEW The group was formed by four German musicians living in northern Italy, near Varese (three of them had grown up there, Thurn-Mithoff arrived in 1968), along with two italians, keyboardist Nicola Pankoff (originating from Arona) and bassist Mauro Rattaggi. The initial name was The Joice, but it was changed by mistake by their record company to Yoice, and it was with this name that their first single was released by the small Produzioni Ventotto label, distributed by Messaggerie Musicali.In 1972, when Rattaggi quit and rhythm guitarist Schoene switched to bass, the group changed its name to Analogy, and had the chance to play some very important concerts like Caracalla Pop Festival in Rome (first concert with the new name) or the Be-In in Naples, though they remained totally unknown outside Italy, apart from Switzerland. Their only album, very rare and interesting, shows some rock-blues influences, with the nice voice of singer Jutta Nienhaus in strong evidence, and had a distinctive cover with the group members all naked. In 1973 keyboardist Nicola Pankoff left the group, though he kept playing and also dedicating to painting, he was replaced by flutist Rocco Abate. The first 300 copies even feature the original giant poster with a foot (pictured also on the back cover), folded in six parts, that was conceived in order to hide the naked bodies of the original cover!! Audiophile heavy 180g wax!! Nonostante la provenienza estera di 4 dei cinque componenti di questo gruppo, gli Analogy meritano senz'altro un posto accanto agli altri gruppi del "pop italiano", avendo trascorso l'intera carriera in Italia, ed avendo realizzato qui i loro dischi. Il gruppo venne formato da quattro musicisti tedeschi che vivevano nella zona di Varese (tre di loro vi erano cresciuti, Thurn-Mithoff arrivò nel 1968), insieme a due italiani, il tastierista di Arona Nicola Pankoff e il bassista Mauro Rattaggi. Il nome iniziale del gruppo era The Joice, cambiato per un errore della casa discografica in Yoice, e con questo nome uscì il loro primo ed unico 45 giri per la piccola casa etichetta Produzioni Ventotto, distribuita dalle Messaggerie Musicali. Nel 1972, con l'uscita di Rattaggi e il passaggio del chitarrista ritmico Schoene al basso, il gruppo cambiò nome in Analogy, ed ebbe anche la possibilità di suonare in concerti molto importanti come il Festival Pop di Caracalla a Roma (il primo concerto con il nuovo nome) e il Be-In a Napoli, pur rimanendo totalmente sconosciuto al di fuori dell'Italia, tranne che in Svizzera. Il loro album, molto raro e interessante, mostra influenze rock-blues, con la bella voce della cantante Jutta Nienhaus in forte evidenza, e aveva una caratteristica copertina con i componenti del gruppo completamente nudi. Nel 1973 il tastierista Nicola Pankoff uscì dal gruppo, pur continuando a suonare e ad occuparsi di pittura, e venne sostituito dal flautista Rocco Abate. Gli Analogy si sciolsero definitivamente intorno al 1974, dopo più di 250 concerti in Italia ed una sessantina in Svizzera. Vinile audiofilo da 180 g!!

With these words the booklet introduces us to the essence of the fourth CD by Conqueror. The nine chapters of the concept album tell in chronological order the fascinating story of the legendary Mata Hari. It all begings in Leerwadern, the Netherlands, and soon moves on to the Island of Java. Then back to Europe, to Paris and the most important cities of the old country, Mata Hari's life unfolds through the fabulous sceneries of the “belle epoque”, while she gains international "superstar" status with her exotc dancing performances. i successi internazionali come danzatrice esotica. Hers is an irresistible charm, that defeats a number of gentlemen (mostly of whom wear a uniform), until the outbreak of World War I, that puts an end to all this plushy lifestyle. Then it is time for Mata's contacts with secret services and her modest career as a spy, serving Germany first, then France. The game is getting harder: Margaretha is arrested and put on trial as a spy by the French. The epilogue: the famous execution, by firing squad...which hands over the story of Madame Zelle to legend. Così narra in apertura il booklet del quarto CD dei CONQUEROR. I nove capitoli del concept raccontano cronologicamente l’affascinante percorso terreno della leggendaria Mata Hari. Tutto cominicia a Leerwadern nei Paesi Bassi, per poi trasferirsi sull’isola di Giava. Il ritorno in Europa, Parigi e le più importanti capitali del vecchio continente, le favolose atmosfere della “belle epoque”, i successi internazionali come danzatrice esotica. Un fascino irresistibile che fa capitolare una moltitudine di uomini (meglio se in divisa), fino allo scoppio della grande guerra, che pone fine a tutto questo sfarzoso apparire. I contatti con i servizi segreti e la sua modesta carriera di spia al servizio della Germania prima, e successivamente della Francia. Il gioco si fa difficile: Margaretha viene arrestata e processata (con l’accusa di spionaggio) dai Francesi. L’epilogo: con la famosa esecuzione mediante fucilazione …. che consegna la storia di Madame Zelle alla leggenda.

PROGRESSIVE   NEW With a distinctive line-up of two keyboard players and no guitars, Corte dei Miracoli from Savona released just an album in 1976. They had been formed around 1973 by past members of Tramps, like keyboardist Alessio Feltri, that had previously played with Il Giro Strano, a band that's strictly connected with Corte dei Miracoli. Original second keyboardist Michele Carlone left the group just before the recordings for their debut album, and was replaced by the experienced jazz pianist Riccardo Zegna. The album is obviously a symphonic oriented prog album, where the keyboards interplay dominates. According to reviewers Corte dei Miracoli's self-titled album “has a distinct symphonic prog sound being very melodic and contrasting in writing style with fellow Italians Balletto di Bronzo, Biglietto per l'Inferno or Campo di Marte. Corte dominates the album with intelligent and very classy style of playing helped enormously by the 16 track recording quality. Only 5 songs, which contain both beautiful melodies and fiery interludes. Skillwise all musicians are top level and all instruments are exploited perfectly. Corte dei Miracoli has also a little of jazzy edge due to the repetition of a theme throughout a song using different instruments.” Source: www.italianprog.com First time ever 180 g deluxe LP reissue! Con una caratteristica formazione con due tastieristi e senza chitarra, la Corte dei Miracoli, da Savona, realizzò solo un album nel 1975. Il gruppo era stato formato intorno al 1973 dagli ex componenti dei Tramps, tra cui il tastierista Alessio Feltri, che aveva anche suonato in precedenza con Il Giro Strano, un gruppo strettamente legato con la Corte dei Miracoli. Il secondo tastierista originale, Michele Carlone, lasciò il gruppo poco prima delle registrazioni dell'album, sostituito dall'esperto pianista di estrazione jazz Riccardo Zegna. L'album è ovviamente orientato verso il prog sinfonico, dominato dall'intreccio delle tastiere Secondo la critica “L'unico album della Corte dei Miracoli ha un particolare suono di prog sinfonico, essendo molto melodico ed in contrasto con lo stile compositivo dei dischi di altri gruppi come Balletto di Bronzo, Biglietto per l'Inferno o Campo di Marte. La Corte domina l'album con uno stile musicale intelligente e di classe, avvalendosi al massimo della tecnica di registrazione a 16 tracce. Solo 5 le canzoni, contenenti sia belle melodie che possenti interludi. Musicalmente tutti i musicisti sono di altissimo livello, e tutti gli strumenti sono sfruttati al massimo. C'è anche un po' di jazz per l'uso di temi ripetuti nello stesso brano con diversi strumenti. I Due Amanti, basata sulla "Notre-Dame de Paris" di Victor Hugo, rende vivacemente questo capolavoro letterario con cambi di tempo e suscitando emozioni nei momenti giusti (anche qui ripetendo un tema in diversi momenti). La voce è piacevole e porta la canzone al suo apice negli ultimi quattro versi. Verso il Sole è l'altro pezzo forte, raramente si è sentita da un gruppo degli anni '70 tanta energia che può facilmente competere con qualsiasi gruppo metal. Corte dei Miracoli è un album notevole, estremamente differente dagli altri italiani melodici come Locanda delle Fate o Celeste. Un viaggio piacevole all'ascolto con l'uso di scale minori e composizioni originali. La mancanza della chitarra si avverte raramente, con l'Hammond e il moog a riempire i brani.” [fonte:www.italianprog.com] Molto raro e ricercato, questa è la prima ristampa su vinile da 180g in qualità audiofila.

Sappiamo bene che molte proposte di rarità sono musicalmente deboli: non è il caso di questo grande capolavoro. Seguendo le orme del revival folk inglese i Folk Studio A producono una piccola gemma che può essere facilmente messa al livello di giganti tipo i Mellow Candle, Tudor Lodge, Fairport Convention, Pentangle, Steeleye Span o Spriguns. Folk Studio sposa due culture, popolare e classica, e i musicisti coinvolti sono uniti dalla comune passione per la musica originale dei paesi celtici. Edizione limitata a sole 300 copie, le prime 50 in vinile verde!

PROGRESSIVE   NEW "Il delirio organizzato" is the official and definitive essay about il Balletto di Bronzo, one of most legendary Italian rock bands. Originally written as a graduation thesis, this book(written in Italian) focuses on Ys, considered as one of the rock greatest masterpieces of its genre by musical critics worldwide. The book is a complete and deep reconstruction of the bands’ history from the early 60s to the Live in Rome 2008 DVD, featuring interviews with Gianni Leone (leader of BDB) and other historical components. There is even some special attention to the production of LeoNero, aka Gianni Leone, who has worked with artists such as the New York Dolls, Don Cherry, Penelope Houston, Tomata Du Plenty, Ars Nova, Gerard, Claudio Simonetti, David Jackson, Gary Green, and Osanna. All this is completed with many unreleased pictures, an introduction by Lino Vairetti, a presentation by Maurizio Giani and free CD with 12 tracks of il Balletto di Bronzo, including many live tracks and three unreleased songs as well! “Il delirio organizzato” è il saggio ufficiale e definitivo sul Balletto di Bronzo, uno tra i gruppi rock italiani ad essere maggiormente avvolto da un alone di leggenda e di mistero. Nato come tesi di laurea in Storia della Musica Moderna e Contemporanea concentra l’attenzione su Ys, la suite rock considerata uno dei massimi capolavori del genere dalla critica specializzata mondiale, allargando il discorso ad ambiti che sconfinano nella musica atonale e nella dodecafonia di Arnold Schönberg, fino all’avanguardia di György Ligeti e al free jazz. Il tutto è arricchito da una ricostruzione approfondita e a tratti inedita della storia del gruppo dai primi anni ’60 al Dvd Live in Rome del 2008, con interviste a Gianni Leone, autore delle musiche e leader indiscusso, e ad altri componenti storici. Non manca un’attenzione particolare alla produzione di LeoNero, pseudonimo di Leone per la sua carriera solista, che si è intrecciata a quella di importanti artisti internazionali come i New York Dolls, Don Cherry, Penelope Houston, Tomata Du Plenty, le Ars Nova, i Gerard, Claudio Simonetti, David Jackson, Gary Green e gli Osanna. PROGRESSIVE   NEW A trio formed in Florence in the early 70's by keyboardist Vincenzo Coccimiglio along with bass player Agostino "Tino" Nobile, that had previously played in Noi Tre, a legendary band that also included guitarists Franco Falsini of Sensations' Fix and Paolo Tofani that was in Area and later known as Electric Frankenstein. After trying various drummers, they found a suitable one in Giorgio Sorano and Triade was born. Signed to the Derby label, the group only released an album and a single in 1973, and had a good live activity supporting the likes of Banco del Mutuo Soccorso and Premiata Forneria Marconi and even playing some dates on their own (like a couple of memorable concerts at Pierlombardo in Milan). 1998: La storia di Sabazio includes a totally instrumental first side with strong classical influences (much in the ELP direction) and a three-track second side with vocal parts, the result is a good album The album was the result of the different tastes of the two composers, first side being almost completely composed by Coccimiglio, while the second side (that's sometimes compared with Le Orme) was more song-oriented and composed by Nobile. Two tracks from this vocal second side, Caro fratello and 1998, with very good acoustic guitar playing, were also released on single. Very rare and expensive in its original issue, 1998: La storia di Sabazio was housed in a nice mirror golden foil gatefold cover, and is very hard to find in perfect condition due to the delicate design. Source: www.italianprog.com First time vinyl reissue, the first 500 copies are identical to the original deluxe version with the golden mirror foil and also a special gold-colored vinyl!!! Questo trio venne formato a Firenze nei primi anni '70 dal tastierista Vincenzo Coccimiglio insieme al bassista Agostino "Tino" Nobile, che aveva precedentemente suonato con i Noi Tre, gruppo leggendario che aveva incluso anche i chitarristi Franco Falsini, poi nei Sensations' Fix, e Paolo Tofani, successivamente negli Area e poi noto come Electric Frankenstein. Dopo aver provato vari batteristi, scelsero Giorgio Sorano e nacque la Triade. Legato all'etichetta Derby, il gruppo pubblicò un solo album ed un singolo tratto da esso nel 1973, ed ebbe una buona attività concertistica suonando anche con Banco del Mutuo Soccorso e Premiata Forneria Marconi ed anche alcuni concerti in proprio (come alcuni memorabili concerti al Pierlombardo di Milano). 1998: La storia di Sabazio contiene una prima facciata interamente strumentale, con forti influenze classiche (molto nella direzione di Emerson Lake & Palmer), con una seconda facciata contenente tre brani cantati, il risultato è un buon album. L'album fu il risultato dei gusti diversi deu due compositori, la prima parte totalmente composta da Coccimiglio, mentre la seconda (che viene qualche volta paragonata alle Orme) è più canzonettistica ed è composta da Nobile. Due brani cantati, provenienti da questa seconda facciata, Caro fratello e 1998, con ottime parti di chitarra acustica, uscirono anche su singolo. Molto raro e costoso nella sua edizione originale, 1998: La storia di Sabazio si presenta con una bella copertina apribile dorata a specchio, ed è difficilissimo da trovare in perfette condizioni a causa della delicatezza del materiale usato.
