PROGRESSIVE   NEW Barbara Rubin comes from several and different musical experiences, starting from a classical education in Conservatory to progressive rock. This is her solo debut, a mixture of musical thoughts called �UNDER THE ICE�, realized with noteworthy muscians. Barbara Rubin is an Italian musician, singer, violinist and song-writer. She attended and completed musical studies at the Conservatoire of Piacenza and graduated in violin. Besides she started to cultivate love for rock, beginning to write songs very young, mixing classical and modern sounds, starting a long live activity as singer and violinist, and of some recording experience like SWIMMER IN THE SAND - ARCANSIEL (Musea records), Low Fare Flight To The Earth - Paolo Baltaro (Musea records), Do Not Disturb - Mhmm blues band (Banksville Records). A nice debut, in nomination for the annual Italian prog awards! Da molte e diverse esperienze musicali, a partire dalla formazione in Conservatorio per arrivare al progressive, nasce una mescolanza di pensieri musicali che da origine a: "UNDER THE ICE" il mio progetto da solista, realizzato con la collaborazione di amici-musicisti di raro valore. Barbara Rubin � una musicista italiana, cantautrice e violinista. Ha cominciato la sua formazione musicale al Conservatorio G. Nicolini di Piacenza diplomandosi in violino sotto la guida del M� Fabio Biondi (Europa Galante). Parallelamente agli studi classici ha cominciato a coltivare l'amore per il rock, iniziando ben presto a scrivere musica mescolando sonorit� classiche ad altre pi� moderne. Cosi nasce questo album da solista che attinge all'esperienza di una lunga attivit� live, sia come cantante che come violinista, e da diverse collaborazioni discografiche tra le quali: SWIMMER IN THE SAND - ARCANSIEL (Musea records), Low Fare Flight To The Earth � Paolo Baltaro (Musea records), Do Not Disturb - Mhmm blues band (Banksville). Un ottimo debutto, in nomination per i prog awards 2009.

PROGRESSIVE   NEW "Solare" si pu� considerare l'anello mancante fra le esperienze di rock progressivo del Perrino dei primi anni '70 e quelle elettroniche di "FAR EAST" e "THE INNER GARDEN"; le tematiche melodiche caratterizzanti "Celeste" sono qui rivitalizzate dall'uso degli strumenti elettronici e dei campionatori, in una perfetta fusione che produce risultati sorprendenti negli otto brani del disco, ognuno dedicato ad un pianeta del nostro sistema solare. "Solare" is the missing link between the early experiments to combine rock and classical music and his interest for electronic music that will give birth to "FAR EAST" and "THE INNER GARDEN" in the late eighties. In each of the eight tracks, all dedicated to the planets of our system, Perrino manages to avoid the repetitive aspects of electronic music, leading the listener in an imaginary trip to the outer space.

AMBIENT / ELECTRONICA / AVANTGARDE   NEW Leonora � una poliedrica artista romana dalla lunga storia che approda finalmente al suo primo album, intitolato "Electronic Ballads". Dieci canzoni divise tra la lingua inglese e quella italiana, sospese a met� tra atmosfere elettroniche ed acustiche. Un lavoro realizzato in proprio, in cui ogni dettaglio � stato curato con certosina pazienza e vero amore. Un lavoro, inoltre, fortemente voluto da LoL Productions, quando Marco Olivotto si imbatt� quasi per caso in alcuni lavori di Leonora presenti sul web. Il digipack contiene un booklet di 24 pagine tutto a colori, fortemente immaginifico, concepito da Leonora stessa. --- Leonora is an eclectic artist from Rome whose story goes way back. She finally releases her own first album, "Electronic Ballads". Ten songs, sung both in English and Italian, suspended halfway between electronic and acoustic textures. A self-made work, in which every detail was taken care of with a real labour of love. And it was LoL Productions which strongly encouraged this release, when Marco Olivotto stumbled almost by chance onto some of Leonora's works available on the web. The digipack contains a 24-page full-color and strongly imaginative booklet conceived by Leonora herself.

PROGRESSIVE   NEW Maxophone, from Milan, formed in 1973 as a six-piece with an unusual assortment of instruments, due to their past experience as music students. A band of great talents and musicianship, their only LP, released in 1975, came too late to compete with the most important Italian bands of the genre and went sadly unnoticed. Maxophone, released on the Produttori Associati label (along with Duello Madre one of the few ventures in rock records by this label) is a marvellous album, full of dreamy atmospheres and complex horn arrangements, with good vocal parts in a Genesis style and is nowadays considered as one of the best Italian prog records of all times. I milanesi Maxophone si formano nel 1973 con una formazione a sei con un assortimento inconsueto di strumenti, data la loro esperienza di studi musicali. Un gruppo di grandi talenti e di eccellente qualità, il loro album, pubblicato nel 1975, è arrivato forse troppo tardi per competere con quelli dei più importanti gruppi italiani del genere, ed è passato senza destare purtroppo un grande interesse. In realtà, Maxophone, realizzato dalla Produttori Associati (insieme a Duello Madre è stato uno dei pochi esperimenti di questa etichetta in campo rock) è un album meraviglioso, pieno di atmosfere da sogno ed elaborati arrangiamenti di fiati, con ottime parti vocali in stile Genesis e oggi è considerato come uno dei migliori lavori del prog italiano degli anni settanta.
